Safety Reps Easy Guides To The Law - Fact Sheet 21: Unions can Inspect Workplaces for Breeches of the Law

Under the NSW Laws unions have an immediate right of entry to a workplace where they have members or potential members.

The union can:

• Inspect all safety breaches under the law

• Take photographs and videos, makes searches

• Request employers produce safety reports, maintenance reports, hazard reports, etc.
