Question

I am a union representative, what should I do if somebody comes to me to report an injury?

Answer

You should make sure that all the details are entered into the employer's Register of Injuries Book, and that they are up to date.

You should also make sure that the insurance company is notified about the injury and/or incident regardless of whether time has been lost.

Also make sure you keep a copy of the insurance company's notification number.
