Question

What does an injured worker have to do regarding reporting injuries?

Answer

An injured worker should notify their supervisor immediately, they should also advise their union or OHS Rep at work and they should ask for a workers compensation claim form.

In the event that the employer does not notify the insurer, you should ask your workplace rep to notify the insurance company on your behalf, or otherwise, you can contact the insurance company direct.
