Question

As a casual employee or part-time employee, am I eligible for workers compensation?

Answer

It is compulsory for all employers within NSW to have an insurance policy from a licensed insurance company covering all employees, including casual and part-time, for workers compensation.

Casual employees are entitled to claim workers compensation for the duration of the period they are incapacitated for work. They are also entitled to claim compensation for any permanent loss caused by the injury they sustained while in their casual job.
